The original Western Wall Tunnels tour, walking the hidden continuation of the Kotel under the Old City past Herodian vaults, cisterns and the Strouthion Pool, including the huge 'Great Stone'. Entry is only with a certified guide and only by advance reservation.

Adult ₪38 Child ₪25

₪38 adult; ₪25 for a child up to 18, soldier, student, senior or visitor with a disability (official ID required). The price covers site entry plus a guided tour of about 1 hour 10 minutes. Organised groups: ₪30 adult / ₪19 child plus ₪295 per group for the guide, 18-35 participants. Neighbouring Kotel attractions are ticketed separately - 'Gateway to Heaven' ₪15/₪7.50, 'A Look into the Past' VR ₪31/₪16.

Discounts

₪25 instead of ₪38 for under-18s, students, soldiers in compulsory service, seniors and people with disabilities, on presentation of an official certificate.

Parking

The Kotel car park by Dung Gate is closest but small and often full; Mamilla (first hour free) and Karta by Jaffa Gate are the practical alternatives, 15-20 minutes' walk. Light rail to City Hall and a walk in through Jaffa Gate is usually faster than hunting for a space.

Getting there

Buses 1, 3 and 38 to the Western Wall; line 38 circles the Old City. Light rail to City Hall, then 10-15 minutes on foot through Jaffa Gate.

Insider tips

Reservation is compulsory and slots sell out - book weeks ahead in peak season.
The entrance is under the arches at the northern end of the Western Wall plaza; arrive about 15 minutes early.
Modest dress applies in the Kotel plaza; men cover their heads.
Friday tours stop at 13:00 and there is nothing on Shabbat or festivals.
Dung Gate is the closest gate if you are coming by car or bus.
