Old City - Jewish Quarter

The excavated basement of a priestly family's house burned in the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70 CE, presented with an audio-visual reconstruction of the city's last days. One of the most direct pieces of evidence for the destruction found in the Jewish Quarter.

Parking

Jewish Quarter paid lot inside Jaffa Gate (private cars barred 09:00-18:00), otherwise Mamilla with a free first hour or Karta, then walk. Zion Gate is the closest approach on foot.

Getting there

Circular bus 38 to the Jewish Quarter; buses 1 and 3 to the Kotel; light rail to City Hall then in through Jaffa Gate.
