A day with children
The zoo at opening, the aquarium out of the midday sun, gazelles in the late afternoon, and no more tickets after that.
What this assumes: A weekday with young children, mostly in Malha and the west of the city. A car makes it easier; buses reach every stop.

Jerusalem Biblical Zoo
Arrive at opening: the animals are active and the car park is not yet full. Half a day if you let it be.

Gottesman Family Israel Aquarium
Next door to the zoo, indoors and air-conditioned — the right place to be at midday. Look for a combined ticket.

Gazelle Valley Park
Free, buggy-friendly, and a real herd of gazelles in the middle of the city. Late afternoon is when they come out.

The First Station
Food, space and no admission at the end of the day.
