Malha

Jerusalem's zoo, in a wooded valley below Malha, keeps animals named in the Bible alongside a wide international collection, spread around a lake and a hillside of large open enclosures. It is one of the few paid attractions in the city that stays open on Shabbat.

Adult ₪79 Child ₪64

The child rate covers ages 3–18. Tickets are sold online at tickets.jerusalemzoo.org.il or at the ticket office until two hours before closing. Annual memberships can be upgraded to cover the Israel Aquarium next door.

Discounts

₪64 for students, soldiers, police officers and seniors with ID; ₪39 for visitors with a disability. Annual pass ₪343 adult, ₪255 child/student/soldier/senior; couple ₪593, couple plus two children ₪780. Combined zoo and aquarium annual pass ₪580 adult, ₪431 child. Groups of 25 or more pay ₪63 adult, ₪51 child.

Parking

On-site zoo car park: from the Malha interchange pass the Malha Mall, turn right onto Yitzhak Moda'i St and left into the lot. It fills up early on Shabbat, holidays and chol hamoed.

Getting there

Egged bus 33 (Har Nof, Bayit VeGan, Malha Mall, Gilo) and bus 26A, which links Bayit VeGan and Ramat Sharett with both the zoo and the aquarium.
