A park of 350-odd miniature models of the country's landmarks laid out in the shape of a Star of David, next to Latrun about half an hour from Jerusalem. It is one of the few paid attractions in the centre of the country that closes for Shabbat and the festivals.

One of the oldest port cities in the world, an hour from Jerusalem, and a free day out. The municipality publishes an eleven-stop family walking route that starts in Abrasha Park at the stone gate, crosses the Wishing Bridge, drops to Jaffa Port, comes back up to the Ottoman clock tower and finishes in the flea market.

The Armored Corps memorial and museum in the British Mandate police fort at Latrun, twenty-five minutes from Jerusalem: one of the world's largest collections of tanks and armoured vehicles, the Wall of Names, a synagogue and an auditorium. Children can climb on the exhibits in the outdoor park.
