East Jerusalem, near Herod's Gate
A white limestone Mandate-era museum just outside the Old City walls near Herod's Gate, holding finds from excavations across the country between 1919 and 1948, displayed largely as they were laid out when the building opened. It has been run as part of the Israel Museum since 1968.
