Old City walls - between Damascus Gate and Herod's Gate
A vast man-made cavern quarried under the Old City, running some 225 metres in from the wall between Damascus Gate and Herod's Gate. It now hosts an immersive projection show, 'Mysteries Beneath the Walls', alongside limited self-guided entry.

Entry with the audio-visual show: ₪45 adult, ₪35 child 5-18 / soldier / student / senior - advance booking required, arrive 10 minutes before the show time. Self-guided entry without the show: ₪25 adult, ₪15 reduced, but only in the 09:00-10:00 window Sun-Thu and at extra hours if the site is free. Under-5s free.
Réductions
₪35 (show) or ₪15 (self-guided) for children 5-18, soldiers, students and seniors. Groups of 20+: ₪40/₪30 with the show, ₪18/₪13 self-guided. Cancellations must be in writing at least 3 working days ahead to tourism@pami.co.il or you are charged in full.
Stationnement
Paid lot at Damascus Gate is a short walk away; Safra Square underground is about 10 minutes on foot. Street parking around Sultan Suleiman Street is scarce and awkward.

Light rail or buses to Sultan Suleiman Street / Damascus Gate; you can also get off at Safra Square and walk. On foot it is a short walk from Tsahal Square along the Old City Walls Garden.

Conseils d'initiés
- Book the audio-visual show online - walk-in self-guided entry is normally only 09:00-10:00, Sun-Thu.
- Wear closed, comfortable shoes: the floor is wet in places and the ceiling drips.
- The entrance is in the wall between Damascus Gate and Herod's Gate, easy to walk straight past.
- Closed all day Friday and Saturday, unlike the nearby Ramparts Walk.
- No strollers, and it is cool inside even in August - bring a layer.
